Our purpose
Adgroup.space exists to make snooker easier to try and easier to understand. Many people enjoy watching the game but have never seen how scoring, fouls or the colour sequence actually work. This website combines a playable online snooker table with written guides, so that you can read a rule and then test it straight away.
The online game
The game is a 2D snooker table that runs in your browser. It includes:
- A table with six pockets, cushions and the correct positions for the baulk line, the D and the colour spots.
- Fifteen reds, six colours and a cue ball with simple but consistent physics for movement, collisions and pocketing.
- Mouse and touchscreen controls, an aiming guide, a power slider and keyboard shortcuts.
- Scoring, foul detection, colour re-spotting, the end-of-frame colour sequence, and a tie-break black.
- A two-player mode on one device and a solo practice mode.
The game is a simplified simulation. It does not model spin and does not apply every rule found in professional snooker; the main differences are listed on the home page.

How we write
We aim to explain the sport accurately and clearly, and to say so plainly when something is simplified. The rules summaries follow the commonly published international rules of snooker, but rules can vary between leagues and over time, so please treat our content as general information and consult the official rulebook of your own competition when it matters. If you spot a mistake, please tell us. All illustrations on this website are original drawings created for it; none is a stock photograph or taken from another website.
